The Center for Digital Editing partners with projects to make their documentary work or historical collections increasingly accessible. Current partnerships include The Papers of Martin Van Buren project, The John Dickinson Writings Project, and The George Washington Financial Papers Project.
Papers of Martin Van Buren

The Papers of Martin Van Buren project, at Cumberland University, partnered with the CDE to develop a content management / publication platform that supports all aspects of editorial workflow. Additionally, students and editors at both institutations are working together on early-stage editorial work.

This project is funded by Cumberland University and the NHPRC.

John Dickinson Writings Project

Our partnership with The John Dickinson Writings Project, at the University of Kentucky, encompasses a number of aims, including the re-development of their content management system, implementation of streamlined editorial workflow, and transcription / annotation / proofreading work. Future work will include the development of a digital edition.

George Washington Financial Papers Project

The Center’s first partnership, our collaboration with the George Washington Financial Papers Project, resulted in the creation of a robust content and editorial management / publication platform for financial documents. This partnership has also inspired the exploration and development of Drupal-based solutions.
